Kim Henriksen

Instructor & Technical Diving Educator

Kim Henriksen is an instructor trainer, course developer, and strategic thinker whose work blends deep operational discipline with a passion for elevating industry standards. As a Technical Instructor Trainer and technical diving educator, Kim has trained and mentored divers across the full spectrum of technical diving, guiding them from foundational skills to the demanding world of advanced trimix operations.

With a background that spans technical instruction, risk‑managed procedure design, and business leadership, Kim has become known for his clarity, precision, and uncompromising commitment to safe, disciplined diving. He is the creator of the PADI Tec Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Distinctive Specialty, a course that integrates structured protocols, navigation discipline, and real‑world mission thinking, setting a new benchmark for DPV training in Denmark.

Kim is also the driving force behind TecDivingDK, Denmark’s emerging premium destination for advanced diving gear, DPV training, and technical diving education. His vision is to unite three pillars – Self decision making, Safety and Risk management and teamwork into a single ecosystem where divers can learn, grow, and make decision themselves for serious underwater exploration.

As an industry voice, Kim is known for his critical analysis of terminology, training standards, and historical context within technical diving. He advocates for operational definitions, transparent communication, and a culture of continuous improvement. His work reflects a belief that technical diving is not just a skillset but a discipline, one built on preparation, precision, and respect for the environment.

Whether teaching trimix procedures, developing new course frameworks, or shaping the future of TecDivingDK, Kim brings the same qualities to every project: methodical preparation, strategic insight, and a genuine commitment to helping divers reach their highest potential.

Self‑Reliant Decision Making

TecDiving DK trains divers to be self‑reliant thinkers who can assess changing conditions, weigh options, and act decisively without waiting for external direction.

Safety Culture and Risk Management

Safety is the program’s north star: every lesson, plan, and procedure is designed to minimize risk and make conservative, repeatable decisions the default.

Teamwork and Emergency Preparedness

TecDiving DK builds teams that function smoothly under stress: clear roles, practiced communication, and rehearsed emergency responses.
